Inspired by the final great romantic drama of American radical composer, Harry Partch’s life. The analogue sounds (home-made harps, voices, spiral stairs) play Partch and the electronics (microphones, delay peday, loop station) are his beloved, documentary film-maker Stephen Pouliot. An abstract dialogue generated through the electronic manipulation (panning, feed back, tempo adjustment, delay and looping) expresses ethereal complications and miscommunication. Perhaps revealing something of the experience of loving through difficult times.
